Divine Mercy Sunday
Exposition of the BLessed Sacrament, recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, Adoration and concluding with Benediction
What is Divine Mercy Sunday?
Among all of the elements of devotion to the Divine Mercy requested by our Lord through Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska, the Feast of Mercy holds first place. The Lord’s will with regards to its establishment was already made known in His first revelations to the saint, as recorded in her Diary.
Our Lord’s explicit desire is that this feast be celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter.
On April 30, 2000, Pope John Paul II, during his homily at the canonization of Saint Faustina declaured:
“It is important then that we accept the whole message that comes to us from the word of God on this second Sunday of Easter, which now on throughout the Church will be called Divine Mercy Sunday.

Our Lady of Knock Commemorative Rosary
Join us on Thursday, August 21 at 6 PM at Marsh Drive Church as the Ancient Order of Hibernians community gathers to pray the Rosary in honor of Our Lady of Knock, whose mysterious and awe-inspiring apparition continues to echo through the hearts of the faithful.
In the quiet village of Knock, nestled in County Mayo, Ireland, a heavenly vision unfolded on a rainy evening in 1879. Fifteen humble souls—children, elders, and villagers alike—stood transfixed before the gable wall of their parish church, witnessing a radiant tableau unlike any other. There, bathed in unearthly light, stood the Virgin Mary, serene and silent, accompanied by St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist. At the center, a lamb rested on an altar, flanked by a host of celestial angels. Not a word was spoken. No message delivered. Yet the silence itself seemed divine.
Though the rain poured steadily, the apparition remained untouched—its ground miraculously dry—as the witnesses prayed with unwavering reverence for nearly two hours.
This gathering commemorates not just a moment in history, but an encounter that continues to stir faith and wonder. The apparition at Knock is a powerful testament to the enduring presence of the sacred in the lives of ordinary people—and the quiet ways Heaven sometimes speaks.

Mass For Peace
On July 27, 2025, the 9:30 a.m. Mass at the Marsh Drive Church will be a Mass for Peace in celebration of the Feast Day of Saint Ignatius of Loyola (July 31). At a time when war has devastated so many lives and threatens others, our military ministry leads our parish in praying for peace. St. Ignatius is the patron saint of soldiers, and taught that “If our church is not marked by caring for the poor, the oppressed, the hungry, we are guilty of heresy.”
